Design Concepts—"Sustainable environment + Organic order"二十一世纪人类和城市发展的方向与目标是在我们赖以生存的地球上，力求解决可持续发展问题，并且建立与自然和谐相处的社会。筑原（Zhuyuan）关注一切生命体得以持续发展的生存空间，提出以“环境共生+有机秩序”作为设计的根本理念与方法。所谓“环境共生”，是作为一种现代的新的城市文化，在外部环境空间这个领域中，诸多物化和文化因素表现为一种客观存在，其最终关注的是特定的场所精神和可持续性意义。所谓“有机秩序”，表现为特定的方法和技术，实现包括使用功能在内的改造目的，其关注的是对诸多复杂因素的争论、评价和取舍，并最终获得一种协调。对于前者，探究其内在精神和一切可控制性元素。对于后者，寻求其最佳的解决途径。在工程经验和理论抽象之间；在民族感情和现代逻辑之间；在文化艺术和科学技术之间；在客观存在和理想目标之间的解构与整合，以求建立一种为特定使用者最为接受的框架体系及其解决方法。
The objective of human urban development in the 21st century is to achieve sustainable development while building a society that will eventually be in harmony with nature. Caring about our living environment, the fundamental design concept strategy of Zhuyuan stresses creating sustainable environment and organic order. The term “sustainable environment” is a rather contemporary concept. Regardless of the physical manifestation of numerous materials and cultural values in the space, what is important ultimately is the spirit of the place and its sustainability. The term “organic order” refers to particular methods and technics to help achieve the desirable design outcome. It requires continuous evaluation, constant negotiation or even compromise between numerous aspects in order to achieve the ultimate balance. The former aims to discover the essence of the physical spatial environment in concern and all potential factors that are contributing to such quality and could be controlled. The later seeks to create a framework that, in response to the potential users’ requirements, achieves the optimal solution by striking a balance between physical experience and theoretical abstraction, between cultural sensation and rational logic, between arts and culture and science technology, and between the existing and the ideal.

About Zhuyuan
广州筑原工程设计有限公司于1997年成立，已承接的各类项目超过千余项，并与中国内地设计院合作成立了江苏筑原建筑设计有限公司、青岛筑原建筑设计事务所及昆明筑原建筑设计有限公司，共同组成筑原设计机构。目前，机构拥有各类专业设计人才400余人，提供各类工程设计的全面性业务服务，在同行中享有相当高的知名度和良好的信用声誉。
Guangzhou Zhuyuan Design & Construction was originally established in 1997, Since then it has been in charge of over 1000 projects of various types. In collaboration with existing design academies in mainland China, the company then set up Jiangsu Zhuyuan Design & Construction, Qingdao Zhuyuan Desig and Kunming Zhuyuan Construction & Design, which collectively are called Zhuyuan Design Institution. Currently, the institution employs over 400 professional designers, offering a comprehensive range of services in both design and construction and enjoys good reputation in the field.

Key members of Zhuyuan are skilled designers with recognized professional qualifications at home or abroad. Being aware of the important influence from the modern technology and cross disciplinary knowledge on design, they often participate in training and education in aspects outside of the professional field, such as science and technology, sociology, engineering, commerce and arts. The institution owns advanced computers, network systems and continuously updates software while trying to keep abreast with the most advanced digital products.
筑原对选择承办的工程一向非常慎重，以求工作负荷达到适度平衡，使主要设计师得以一定的精力亲自参与到工程发展的各个阶段。机构各项工程均由设计小组专门负责，小组由经验丰富、熟悉工程管理各项环节的技术人员组成，并由资深设计师领衔设计，指导工程从最初的构思阶段进入细部设计，组织工程的投标及施工管理。筑原的工作风格强调自始至终负责的一贯性，以确保我们的设计思想最终贯彻到工程的各个阶段。
Zhuyuan has been prudent with the choice of projects undertaken so as to ensure a reasonable work load for its designers. In turn, they will be able to balance their time and energy better in order to participate throughout various stages of the projects. All projects are undertaken by specific design groups, which are consisted of experienced project management personnel, designers and technicians with senior designers’ guidance, from the initial concept stage to detailed design and subsequent bidding and construction management. Zhuyuan emphasizes consistency in design so as to ensure that our concepts and values would be carried through all stages of the projects.

We always believe that in the premise of full understanding of the clients’ demand, designers should apply themselves to design the optimal design proposal which is in accordance with the project budge and the demand of scheduled plan, a perfect works that fulfills each functional requirements taking the audience’s breath and can stand test of time. An outstanding designer should have abundant experience and extensive knowledge, owning unique cognition and view in technologic and art field, only through what can he create an advanced, own-characteristics-controlled new concept of modern urban design that can reflect the environment and architecture which people’s real hope for and realize coexistence of urban ecology, context and science and technology.
江苏筑原（原常州民用建筑设计研究院）,具有甲级工程设计、甲级工程勘察和乙级工程咨询资质，2004年12月更名为江苏筑原建筑设计有限公司。公司现有高级职称人员21人（其中教授级高级建筑师1人）、中级职称人员19人；其中一级注册建筑师4人、二级注册建筑师3人、一级注册结构工程师7人、二级注册结构工程师2人、注册设备工程师2人、注册岩土工程师3人、注册造价工程师1人，专业配套齐全。公司于1991年通过TQC达标验收，1996年实行工程设计和图档资料网络化管理，1999年初被江苏省科委、省建委命名为工程设计CAD应用示范单位，2002年10月取得了北京中设的ISO9001：2000质量认证证书。公司成立20多年来，已累计完成了1750余万㎡的建筑设计及勘察任务，参与了常州、南京、苏州、无锡、镇江、扬州、溧阳、金坛、沭阳、涟水、宝应、泰州、南宁等地住宅小区和公共建筑的规划、建筑、勘察设计工作，其作品多次获奖。
Jiangsu Zhuyuan (former Changzhou Civil Building Design & Research Institute), owning the qualifications of First Class Engineering Design, First Class Engineering Investigation and Second Class Engineering Consulting, was renamed Jiangsu Zhuyuan Build Design Co.,Ltd. Now there are 21 personnel of high professional title (including 1 of Professor Level Senior Architect), 19 personnel of middle professional title; among them there are 4 of First Class Registered Architect, 3 of Seconde Class Registered Architect, 7 of First Class Registered Structural Engineer, 2 of Second Class Registered Structural Engineer, 2 of Registered Facilities Engineer, 3 of Registered Geotechnical Engineer, 1 of Registered Cost Engineer, that the company is professionally equipped. Passing TQC Compliance Acceptance in 1991, the company carried out the management of engineering design and networking images files and datas. In 1999 the company was named as demonstration unit of Engineering design CAD application and in October 2002 obtained ISO9001：2000 Quality Certificates of Beijing ZhongShe Certification Services Co.,Ltd. Founded for more than 20 years, the company has completed more than 17.5 million square meters of architectural design and investigation tasks and taken part in residence community and planning, building, investigation design work of public architecture of Changzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Zhenjiang, Yangzhou, Liyang, Jintan, Shuyang, Lianshui, Baoying, Taizhou, Nanning, most of which got awarded.
青岛筑原（原青岛市振业建筑设计院）成立于1985年3月， 2000年进行了股份制改革，具有乙级设计资质。2004年9月，设计院更名为青岛筑原建筑设计事务所。事务所拥有一级注册建筑师3人、二级注册建筑师2人、一级注册结构师3人、高级工程师13人、工程师10人。自2001年以来，事务所已完成了几十个住宅小区、几百项建筑工程规划、单体设计工作。事务所立足山东青岛，项目涉及内蒙、江苏等地，承接了一大批富有创意的工程，赢得了客户的信赖和良好的声誉。作为从小规模设计院发展起来的中等规模设计院，事务所一直保持着贴近市场、理解客户的灵活反应能力，建立了适应市场的科学运营管理模式及以客户需求为中心的服务体系和反馈制度，实现了以设计项目管理为核心的扁平式管理体制，同时与筑原设计机构各单位一起，优势互补，不断提高设计水平，共同打造优秀的设计品牌。
Qingdao Zhuyuan (former Qingdao Zhenye Architectural Design Institute) was founded in March 1985, and conducted stockholding system reforms in 2000, with the qualification of Second Class Engineering Design. It was renamed as Qingdao Zhuyuan Architectural Design Firm in September 2004. Now there are 3 First Class Registered Architects, 2 Second Class Registered Architects, 3 First Class Registered Structural Engineers, 13 Senior Engineers and 10 engineers. Since 2001, the firm has completed plannings and single design jobs of dozens of residence community and hundreds of building construction. Based on Shandong Qingdao, with projects involving Inner Mongol, Jiangsu and other areas, the firm undertook a large number of creative works and gained the customer’s trust and good reputation. As a medium-sized design institute grown from a small one, the firm constantly keeps flexible responsiveness of closing to market and customer understanding and builds the mode of scientific operation management that adapting to the market and the service system and feedback system of customer needs orientation, realizing flat style management system with the core of design project management. Kunming Zhuyuan: 2004 is the fifth anniversary of the implementing of strategy to develop western regions, in which a design team with abundant design experience and energy came to the spring city of western regions to form Kunming Zhuyuan Build Design Co.,Ltd. Relying on a professional human resouces framework with pioneering spirit and design originality, the firm conducts targeted designing according to customers’ real needs. Based on Yunnan Kunming, the firm has taken part in and completed planning, architectural design and landscape design of residence community, business building and public building of Kunming, Yuxi, Chuxiong, Jianshui, Lincang, Wuding, Wenshan, Ruili, Dongchuan and Guilin, which were all highly praised by the customers and professionals.
